., Island Style and Mixx Productions presents its DC Carnival Soca Explosion featuring the best of Caribbean calypso and soca entertainment on the weekend that brings over 500,000 Caribbean nationals to the nation’s capital.Friday June 28th is "HYSTERIA: MADNESS ‘TIL DAWN" a spectacular DJ Party featuring the music of Washington’s Best: DJs Sprang International, and Andy Mix; New York’s ForeignBass and Trinidad & Tobago’s #1 DJ from 96.1 FM in Trinidad and Tobago, "X-Caliber featuring Dawg e. Slaughter".
This event takes place at DC NEWEST CLUB ‘BRAVO BRAVO’, 1001 CONNECTICUT AVE., N.W. Washington DC, featuring 3 DANCE FLOORS, 7 BARS, DOOR PRIZES, GIVEAWAYS and MORE, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Breakfast served from 4 a.m. Admission $10.00 BEFORE MIDNIGHT
Saturday June 29th is "GLOW", an exciting glow in the dark party experience with performances by Trinidad’s #1 band Traffik, Barbados #1 Krosfyah, Rupee, Bunji Garlin, Iwer George, Denise Belfon, Ronnie Macintosh, Benjai, and Special Guest: Machel Montano with the music of DJs Sprang International, Back2Basics and Anonymous, with host Neil Mattei (WEAA 88.9FM). Attendees must wear WHITE …to GLOW.
The venue is the Washington DC Convention Center, 900 9th St., NW Washington DC, from 9:00 p.m. until 4 a.m. Advance tickets are $35.00 (Saturday night). More at the door…
